Fruiting Body Resupinate, thin, finely granular, yellowish brown Flesh Soft, gelatinous Smell Indistinct Season Winter to spring Distribution Unknown, probably confused with Phlebia lilascens Habitat On rotten beech and birch wood. Spore Print White Microscopic Features Spores narrowly ellipsoidal, smooth (3.8-4.5) x (1.7-2.3) µm2. Basidia narrowly clavate, four spored. Cystidia absent. Hyphal system monomitic, clamps present. Edibility Of no culinary value Notes The two collections shown on this page were DNA tested by Eric Janke of the Hampshire Fungus Recording Group in collaboration with the BMS. The tests showed both to be the same as yet undescribed species with a match to the unnamed sequence MW163981 from Italy. The Genbank IDs are OQ133577 for the Bushy Leaze Wood collection and PV051434 for the Kingsley Common collection.
